Food Supply Enough: Marcos Assures Stable Prices Despite Middle East Conflict
Pinoyjuander – MANILA, Philippines — Food supply enough. This was the clear message from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as he reassured Filipinos that the country’s food situation remains stable despite rising global tensions linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Amid fears of supply disruptions and price hikes, the President emphasized that there is no reason for panic buying, stressing that the government is actively monitoring markets to keep prices under control and ensure that the food supply enough condition is maintained nationwide.
Food Supply Enough Amid Global Uncertainty
The assurance comes at a time when global markets are experiencing volatility due to geopolitical tensions, particularly in oil-producing regions. Despite these developments, Marcos maintained that the Philippines remains insulated from major disruptions in food availability.
According to the President, inspections conducted in public markets showed that basic goods—including rice, vegetables, and other staples—are sufficiently stocked. He emphasized that the government is closely coordinating with agencies to guarantee that the food supply enough situation continues in the coming weeks.
“Everything is normal,” Marcos said in a recent statement, adding that both food and fuel supplies remain stable despite external pressures.
This reassurance aims to calm public concern, especially as news of rising oil prices and supply chain disruptions circulate globally.
